Vyacheslav Kozlov's one-time shot ripped past the glove of Edmonton's Nikolai Khabibulin and broke a tie with eight minutes to go to push his Thrashers to a 3-2 win on Sunday over the Oilers in Atlanta.

It's 13 games and counting for Jason Spezza without a goal in regulation this season.

That mattered little on Tuesday night as Spezza beat Edmonton goalie Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers in the shootout to seal a 4-3 win for the hometown Senators.

The scoring woes of Tom Gilbert and the Edmonton Oilers are over, at least on the power play. Gilbert scored one of Edmonton's four goals with the man-advantage, the defenceman's first tally in 17 games, in a 5-3 win over Colorado on Sunday night to kick off a five-game road trip.

The Edmonton Oilers have entered many games this season at a disadvantage, thanks to a slew of injuries and players battling the swine flu. But they dug their own hole Thursday night with a parade to the penalty box, giving the New York Rangers the chance to break their four-game losing skid.
